It is the mission of Kissimmee Waterkeeper to help address water and environmental issues of south central Florida and to do so in a manner that is fully consistent with and supportive of actions to address climate change. We invite you to join this effort.
Kissimmee Waterkeeper is the newest Florida member organization of Waterkeeper Alliance, a global group of 350 advocacy organizations in 47 nations working for drinkable, swimmable, fishable waters. This includes issues of fertilizers and wastes contributing nutrients to our delicately balanced ecosystem; harmful algal blooms triggered by excess nutrients, challenges of providing ample and safe water supplies for both people and the environment, and sharing our watershed with the wildlife that live among us or on our regional preserves.
